After the show, when we were breaking down after 2 a.m. and loading up, I'm walking out with an amp and nearly floor a guy walking down the sidewalk. He ignored me because he was busy texting. Our guitarist Eddie tells me, "You know who almost knocked over right now? John Mayer." Yep, John stayed in Blacksburg an extra night, and word is he was trolling for college women. I imagine he was texting with one of them as he was walking, planning their hookup at his hotel room ...
