We could be wrong (doubtful, we have SUCH an eye), but we think Michelle Obama was again wearing Chicago designer Mario Pinto as she entered the White House this afternoon for a visit with her husband with President Bush and First Lady Laura.

Bright red, very Nancy Reagan, and we thought she looked simple, elegant and smashing. No big jewelry.

SUCH A TOTAL improvement over that election night Narcisco Rodriquez, which looked so soccer mom with a cardigan. If you have arms like hers, you show them off, even if it’s chilly. And girl, wear some heels. Those one and a half-inchers do not do you justice, especially in good clothes. Rock the heels, k?

And good work today. You can totally do the right thing when you try.

Oy, Madge……so it didn’t work out. We’re not surprised. Not many men in this world can live up to your creative force. Yes, you’re tough, but you’re also fab. We figured this would happen eventually. Guy Ritchie’s star is falling, you keep reinventing yourself to international acclaim. He’s baggage. You need to pick another cute guy to live with but bag the whole marriage crap. You need companionship but without all the heartache.

Hold onto the money, sister. You need Sir Paul McCartney’s attorney. A serious fortune is at stake and you need to protect yourself if this turns nasty.

We hope you are ok. We’ll have to take a little down time to cope. We’ll also need an adult beverage straightaway. First you announce your split. And then Nancy Reagan is hospitalized. It’s been a dark diva day.

A good iced brownie and glass of cold (and preferably soy) milk is medicinal. The chocolate and sugar fix are so satisfying we can hardly stand it.

We adore nearly every piece that comes out of the Nanette Lepore fashion line. So modern yet girlie. It's appparel for the working princess.

They are expensive but we like nearly all of the Amy's brand food products. They are dee-lish. We also recommend brown rice pasta, which is so much easier to digest than the regular kind. You should check it out.

We are still debating bangs. We love those long sweeping Palin bangs, but our hair is so curly we wonder if we could keep em flat. Hair changes are difficult. They just are.

We have always hated Estee Lauder fragrances -- we love the makeup and skin stuff -- but the new scent Sensuous is very nice. We've been testing a sample this week and think it's fab.

Seeing old and dear friends and remembering just how much they mean to you. Happened to us this week. We are nostalgic and sad and want more time with our friends who are flung around the world now. We miss them dearly. And we are longing to reconnect with those who we haven't seen in too long.

We're not one to give stock tips, particularly in this market, but when Starbucks goes under 10, we're gonna buy, buy, buy.

Terra sweet potato chips, with peach salsa. We are totally addicted.

We're trying superhard to switch to tea over coffee. The java is giving us heavy anxiety and totally dogging our sleep. We use loose leaf black tea, never bags. And it's yummy.

We're all for saving money on expensive beauty products, but one we'd never give up is our moisturizer: Estee Lauder's Resilience Lift Extreme with spf 15. It's just delicious and who doesn't need a lift. We also recommend the MD Forte line of glycolic cleansers and facial cremes, which is what we use at night. We love to read our horoscopes. One of our faves is Susan Miller who writes the fab www.astrologyzone.com. You totally should check her out because she is spot on. We are also a fan of Bridgett Walther at www.elle.com/astrology. We read her religiously, too. We are a Virgo. Completely and totally. And if things aren't working well or breaking, remember we are under a Mercury retrograde, so don't sign ANYTHING until Oct. 20 when things are totally moving forwards and the icks are gone.

We must have the new Buckcherry record, Black Butterfly. They are one of our fave bands. We rock pretty hard for a princess.

We love listening to the Dandy Warhols in the morning.

Buy this and substitute for rice or pasta: quinoa. Trust us. Hard to pronounce but delicious.

We made chocolate oatmeal no-bake cookies tonight. With the dark-chocolate Hershey's cocoa. Quick, easy and soothing for the hormonally challenged.

Ruffles. We all need ruffles. They are everywhere and the greatest feminine touch. We saw the cutest pumpkin orange wrap dress at Banana Republic with ruffles across the bodice. LOVED IT. It's a must have.

How do we stay so healthy, you ask? Every day we take two Flintstones vitamins (in any combination -- Fred-Wilma, Barney-Bam Bam) you get the drill. Not only are they delicious but they are fun and they work. Not many things do THAT, especially without C batteries."

We think Cole Haan shoes are very well-made and sturdy. But the most comfortable shoes we've ever owned are Donald Pliner. We also are a Stewart Weitzman fan.

We're saying it now: We want a black cashmere bathrobe for Christmas. And of course we've been good ;-)

Our current RTW sportswear label: Johnny Was. Just a great bunch of pieces. We want the corduroy three-quarter coat with the embroidery. It's rock-a-licious and snazzes up the jeans for fall.

The best EVER facial scrub: Queen Helene Mint Julep scub. We keep it in the shower and use it everyday for a clean visage. We buy ours online at www.ulta.com. It's about $3 per tube and totally a steal deal, far better than more expensive competitors (and we've tried em all.)

Galpal Janelle sent us the most thoughtful and delicious package of comestibles from Fredericksburg Farms in Texas. We are nearly addicted to the peach salsa and our better half took the rib rub and used it on salmon, to much fanfare. Check them out at www.fbgfarms.com.

We MUST HAVE one of those to-die-for white trench coats that Katie Holmes has been sporting around NYC during the weeks leading up to her Broadway debut. Totally chic, clean and sassy -- the white so fresh, even if it's nearly fall. LOVE IT.

Another food we can't live without: Amy's rice-flour crust pizza. We dump a bunch of veggie toppings on to give it some zing. Not greasy, way filling, without all of the ridiculous, gooey pizza calories. It satisfies without the guilt or bloat.

Nail polish we're currently wearing: Midnight in Moscow by OPI. It's dark but kinda sexy, even on short nails. Normally, we do light pink on the uppers and coral on the toes. But this time we went walking on the wild side with our nail tech's blessing. Give it a whirl.

Morningstar vegetarian bacon. Just try it. It's deelish, lo-cal and satisfying without clogging your heart. You can do that with brownies.

We found some seriously cute boots on sale for $29.99 (not a typo) at 6pm.com They are 9West and totally nice. It's a must-check-out site with some deals.

FEED ME SEYMOUR!!!! We are increasingly eating vegan. It makes us feel better and our skin is pretty too. Plus, no animals die in the feeding of this diva. Fix this dish and serve over brown rice with some soy sauce. It's got all the good stuff in there.

Saute a couple of shallots and a couple of cloves of garlic in olive oil. Add a bag of fresh spinach and wilt. Add some fresh grape tomatoes and cook until they crinkle a bit (don't cut em up -- dump em in whole). Add a large can of white cannelini beans. Let it all mingle and get hot.
You've got a lot of veggies and a lot of protein in a colorful quick dish. Shockingly yummy.
